From different scholarly articles, there is a general view to whither anthropology is a science because of its ability to integrate the context of investigation and the context of explanation in order to give a very detailed understanding. This if considered and put in place, will ensure that anthropology is well advanced to the public understanding of all humankind through a considerable study of all aspects of life (Faulkner, 2008, pp.77). Anthropologists like Alisse Waterstone advocated for furthering the scope of anthropology to the dissemination of the anthropological knowledge, expertise and interpretations that can be used in different capacities in order to solve different human problems that arise.

To her, to make anthropology more enhanced and scientific there was need to; It is out of these that there is need to look into the various important contributions that the 9/11 Unites States terror attacks have had on the reshaping of the field of anthropology. In my view, the 9/11 terror attacks have contributed greatly to the reshaping of the discipline of anthropology. This is because the nature of the events that day have greatly been used to reshape and make anthropology a wider discipline that is able to be applied in different capacities.

In my analysis, I outline the nature of the 9/11 terror attacks and how it has contributed to the reshaping of the field of Anthropology. To greater extent, body of analysis will include an in depth analysis of the various works that have been published by different scholars patterning to the contributions of the 9/11 terror attacks. Besides these, I will also have an overview of the role of anthropology as a political critique and various political developments that have so far been achieved as a result of the 9/11 terror attack.
