Extract of sample "Reflection upon the class English Literature"

English Literature Reflection I must admit that this English Literature is one of the best and most informative es I have ever attended. The class has been instrumental in developing me intellectually in three dimensions. I have been able to develop as a reader, writer, and a student at the same time. This is a brief and general reflection on this English Literature class.Perhaps the most important aspect that makes this class so instrumental is the ability to approach literature work in different dimensions.

I have learned a lot from fiction, non-fiction prose, poetry, and drama. I have personally found nonfiction prose to be the most interesting. Although it is somewhat challenging to articulate the different elements of nonfiction prose such as plot, characters, theme, time sequence among others, the completed work is usually interesting. Despite poetry being very interesting, it is quite challenging to me but I have approached poetry with a positive attitude and have begun developing profound interest in poetry.

After reading the wide collection of essays, poems, and short stories in the book “Literature and Ourselves,” I have developed my reading skills. More notably, I have greatly improved my writing skills by writing in different literary techniques. However, I have discovered that developing, as a writer is more challenging than developing as a reader perhaps because writing involves articulating different techniques to come up with a readable and authentic literary material.Needless to say, this class has been interesting, challenging, educative, and most importantly, it has been a great learning experience.

It has made me a much better student not only in literature but also in other fields as well.
