9 September The Changing World The world is a place that is changing at a very fast pace indeed; whatever was in place twenty five years ago, is not the same today and will not be so in the next twenty five years. In the seventies and the eighties, most people were not able to imagine the kind of changes in the modern world that have taken place today, for example, breakthroughs in the field of science, medicine as well as communication and technology. The advantage was that people back then were diligent enough to make things happen and the result of people living the way that they are today are the fruits of the hard work that was put in one fourth of a century ago.

The future holds a great many things which people might not even be able to imagine today, however, dreaming helps to make things happen because once upon a time, video calling, using the internet and travelling at such fast speed across the world was a dream for most people. The next twenty five years will help the world witness a plethora of changes that affect human lives in general. The technological aspects and potential in the world are immense today, and many scientists from renowned institutes all over the world have stated how speed is going to give its definition a run for its money.

In the computer industry, communication, information transfer and using technology will become a much easier job with great speeds that are unimaginable to man today. The use of silicon chips, faster processing systems etc will all help to share information and resources in a much easier and transparent manner. (Ricadela, Aaron) The environment is also a great aspect of what the future might hold in store. Today, it is being abused by man and thus steps are being taken in order to preserve and conserve greenery in order to have a better future for the generations to come.

(Nelson, Phil) Global warming should be countered in the future with better technology, however, the earth will definitely witness some unwanted changes what with the kind of natural calamities and disasters that have been striking because of environmental changes in the atmosphere. (The Future of the Earth) In terms of culture and fine arts, society will probably undergo a vast change because of the rate at which people are beginning to open up and think out of the box. More and more ideas are spilling out into the open with younger and fresher minds to work on different aspects that affect human life.

Entrepreneurship is slowly establishing itself as the new way of venturing into the work sphere. Furthermore, there are a great many speculations of change that might take place. In the past, there were so many things that were looked upon as taboos which have been possible today. Therefore, legalising marijuana for the purpose of medicine, installing technology on the moon and making trips and vacations there possible for the common man, taking control of things like telepathy and chancing upon unlimited resources for the purpose of existence are some factors that might be possible within the next twenty five years at the rate at which scientists and entrepreneurs are ruling the world with their skill, grit and intelligence.
