Extract of sample "Mental Health"

Firstly, if the health of a patient has improved or fully recovered that is an indicator that the medical services offered have yielded fruits. Since the facility will be dealing with young children, psychology indicates that their brains will have not fully developed and thus, the possibility of children proving stubborn to mental health care is minimal; hence, respond positively to health care services unless it is an isolated case (Hogan, Przybylowicz and Vacek, 2013).

The first indicator of successful treatment is client satisfaction with the kind of services offered. Some of the conditions of mental illness are natural problems that cannot be rectified since they are inborn and thus, as a result, such patients can only be offered specialized care to curb anxiety and depression whenever they occur, in addition to, teachings right from a tender age that can help them live positively irrespective of the mental conditions they are suffering. Therefore, the level of client satisfaction with the kind of services they have been offered is the first indicator of successful treatment of patients (World Health Organization, 2001). In psychology, researchers say that perception is crucial in entirely all aspects of life and thus, tends to influence the decisions that people make. Thus, by the clients being satisfied with the services offered clients will, therefore, tend to visit the facility wherever they have similar problems in the future because they will believe what they experienced was more than healing, even though the services did not actually change their natural mental condition but only influenced their lives positively through corrective counseling.

Moreover, once you visit any health facility, after being offered services you indicate in the records whether your problem has been resolved or make any other comment or recommendation that you may wish to offer. Therefore, by analyzing the feedback from clients, Simon will be able to find out whether any particular patient has successfully recovered. For instance, in some cases, patients may be offered the right services and get cured but because of the conditions under which the service was offered, would compromising clients may give negative feedback regarding the quality of services they received because the services offered did not meet the satisfaction threshold (World Health Organization, 2001).

That notwithstanding, BCHMC is a community-based health care facility that specializes in providing mental health care services to alleviate mental illness conditions among the le. In that light, the health facility will be periodically monitoring its progress by conducting surveys in the immediate society to analyze the impact of their services on society in terms of the reduction of mental health cases and whether they are on an upward or downward trend. Therefore, an analysis of data collected over six consecutive months will give a good platform to the facility to determine whether its services are successful or not. For example, if the data will indicate a downward trend in mental health illness conditions in the immediate society and its surroundings, BCHMC will be able to know they need to improve on their services. (Hogan, Przybylowicz and Vacek, 2013).

To gauge successful treatment, several outcomes and strategies have to be implemented to ensure the process is readily accomplished. Service notes should be promptly completed and filled by all case managers that are handling clients to ascertain the kind of service offered and the overall effect on the patients. Moreover, therapists should promptly organize for clients’ follow-up appointments to monitor their condition to ascertain if are responding positively to medication (World Health Organization, 2001). It is from this point that Simon will be placed in determining whether or not a patient has been successfully treated since the process of treatment as far as mental health is concerned is not an instantaneous process but rather a progressive process that takes some time before results can be achieved. For instance, in some cases it may even take a long period; to attend to a patient through a chain of follow-up checks since the magnitude of improvement in some cases is so minute; thus, holistic care must be provided through regular checkups to facilitate the process of recovery (World Health Organization, 2001).

Graduate medical interns should regularly be monitored to avoid situations where they spend long hours with clients since they have not perfected the process of holistic health care for patients. Therefore, trained therapists handling clients will require little input from interns because patients will need to be monitored regularly so that any issue arising, which requires specialized attention is attended to promptly; thus, enhancing the quality of services offered and overly bringing about client satisfaction. However, regarding job management at the health facility, managers should embrace a fair system of allocating duties to therapists to ensure they are balanced and no particular clinic has its employees overworked. Thus, a balanced schedule will see each therapist work for the recommended amount of time; thus, avoiding cases of fatigue, stress, and heavy workload, which jeopardizes the quality of services that are provided to the clients. Moreover, quality services are often associated with successful patient recovery, and thus, to enhance the same, therapists should be accorded an enabling work environment to enable them to accomplish their work (Hogan, Przybylowicz, and Vacek, 2013).
