I disagree that there are many rules because citizens should be well protected. The government of any state is entitled to protect its people from any danger. This will enable its citizens to enjoy their rights; life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. However, if it becomes destructive, then the people will have to alter or abolish it and later institute a new government (William, 2006, p.123). Rules are carefully thought of and engineered to provide safety and financial security. Everyone is supposed to adhere to it; however, others either forget or intentionally ignore the law for their own selfish gain (William, 2006, p.124). The government needs to take a proactive role in protecting the health and safety of its citizens.

It can be achieved by protecting the country from an attack by enemies and ensure the safety of the products they buy (Gerald, 2011, p.96) The take (there should be a comma) over by the government begins with having seat belts being made mandatory which reduces the incidence of deaths. Without a well-functioning government, society devolves into chaos and anarchy which leads to the rise of a strong man or powerful group who take control and rule with an iron fist. Moreover, the government cannot solve fully all the dangers that are posed to its citizens (Suzanne, 2010, p.51) Every person is endowed with fundamental inherent rights by nature and God and the government set in to exercise the protection of these rights (Gerald, 2011, p.94). The government needs to have qualified and skilled personnel so that it can protect its citizens from any form of aggression either external or internal.

Therefore essential amenities like food, health care, and basic education will be affordable. The rules on illegal drugs are very strict and able to protect the citizens from it because the effect of illegal drugs can attack and subvert the social and economic fabric of the nation (Harlan, 2004, p.35). In most instances, the state has an interest in protecting its citizens from their bad decisions. Like driving a car while drunk or riding a motorcycle without a helmet. Hence, it’s destined to guide the behavior of the locals.

Public transport is a key factor in and economy so the government should provide leadership and money to study a country’s transportation needs. The government should provide strong support on the importance of religion and morality which will promote private and public happiness and political prosperity (it should be prosperity) of the nation. For example, religious principles will enhance the protection of property, reputation, and life that are the foundations of justice (Democracy web, 2006).

A democratic government should educate its citizens to identify their interests with the interests of their country. Lastly, the government should give more support to ensure that they deliver their services in an efficient and effective way. However, it is faced with many challenges; corruption and poor administrative framework.
